Zuujit is a privately-held, Santa Barbara-based company.
CEO and founder, Tyler Gildred, developed the concept for Zuujit while running Half Price Network, an online auction facilitator for the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara communities.
Realizing that many consumers and businesses still thought it was easier to throw out unwanted inventory rather than utilize eBay, Gildred went looking for a way to remove barriers to the listing process.
Gildred recruited technology expert and fellow smartphone enthusiast, Travis Purdy, CEO of Hayden Productions, an internet consulting firm with clients throughout the United States. Together they developed the Zuujit concept. Zuujit Mobile, a mobile phone application that turns your camera phone into an all-in-one eBay lsting tool. They are continuing development for eBay listing tools with Zuujit Web—a web-based companion product. Zuujit Mobile and Zuujit Web are designed to give consumers an easy way to recycle valuable merchandise back into the economy—at the same time earning income and reducing landfills.
